The Irrigation Solar Field project by E Source Energy demonstrates how renewable energy can transform agriculture in Pakistan. Located on a large farmland near Multan, this project involved installing a custom solar system designed to power irrigation pumps and other essential farm equipment.
Starting from a detailed site assessment, our team developed a tailored design that maximizes daily sunlight and integrates seamlessly with the farm’s existing irrigation network. The system includes advanced battery storage to ensure consistent water supply for crops, even during cloudy days or grid outages.
Beyond reducing operational costs, the solar installation supports sustainable farming practices by cutting diesel consumption and lowering carbon emissions — protecting both the farmer’s income and the environment.

By switching to solar-powered irrigation, the farm reduces its reliance on diesel generators and expensive electricity, resulting in significant annual savings.
Reliable, clean power ensures a steady water supply for crops, improving yields and resilience against power cuts or fuel shortages. The system also supports sustainable farming goals and helps preserve local natural resources.
The rural location and varying terrain required careful design to maximize sunlight exposure and minimize shading from nearby trees and structures.
Coordinating installation during the growing season, while keeping irrigation uninterrupted, was another challenge. Our team planned phased installations and worked closely with farm staff to ensure crops continued receiving water without disruption.
